Speak Yo’ Truth
This is probably my personal favorite. I look forward to craftin’ a similar work to this one in the near future. Hand drawn with colorful pens, and then watercolor painted and pasted it to checkerboard and purple cardstock. I lost the original when I was unhoused, among several other works I made- it was depressing but I didn’t give up. I’m so glad I took a picture of this work before that happened- I just wish I would have taken pictures of the other artworks I had in my folder along with it too.
Anyways, as somebody who seeks to transform advocacy and learn from indigenous peoples, I made this in an effort to explain that desire, and also the triangulation of the elements. In astrology, a “trine” is considered a “benefic aspect,” where flow comes easily and talents are recognized. However, trines are also used in Euro-Pagan symbols to represent each element, but fire is particularly represented as the uppercase triangle symbol: Δ. However, that symbol is also called Delta. In mathematics Δ represents the numerical “change in“ an equation, and it is the 4th letter of the Greek alphabet (in lowercase, delta looks like this: δ).
We also named the deepest state brainwave the “Delta” wave, being the closest to both death, and regenerative resting. I scry about the impact of this concept in blog post, Autocracy is a Collective Autoimmune Disease. Shortly summarized, we are in need a deep transformation in how we communicate and address psychosocial health, in order to improve environmental health. If Δ is the pagan-triangulation symbol for fire, while it also represents “to change” in math functions, and the deepest stage of sleep, than we have an insomniatic inflammation problem. We need darkness and stillness to truly recover in “delta sleep” and changes can occur regardless of fire.
I hope you comprehend the complexity of this language relationship, and the cognitive bias that could be inspiring actions alluding to in global warming and poverty, such as overpopulated militaristic behaviors: There are other ways to communicate change, and our species evolves based on the ways we use of fire as a tool (different cultures use a variation in technique, and sometimes are forced to use the same techniques).
However, we must remember to use fire as part of the change process, instead of it being the solution within itself because people are being fired too often, over-worked and experiencing too much inflammation, while genocide is normalized by some who prefer regimes of greed. We have too much fire, as the species celebrated to have discovered it’s use better than any other species on the planet (but it matters how we plan it). Too often plans include fire in the most devastating ways; for greed’s purpose- instead of species evolution.
This work encourages transformative advocacy; to embolden those who’s voices need to be heard in order to survive, to thrive- and to prompt change in the directions of noises that seek to drown them out in hatred and disgust… To defeat narcissism & toxic forms of nationalism and to research and test prevention and cures for all the disease pathways that stem from those concepts and the actions they inspire.
